Many colorful hot springs in the area of Rotorua! This all due to dramatic, volcanic geothermal conditions beneath the earth. The water in the Champagne pool is 75 °C, the gasses are mainly CO2, but to less extent nitrogen, methane, hydrogen, hydrogen sulphide and traces of oxygen. Māori call this place “sacred waters”, Wai-O-Tapu, we call it thermal wonderland!
