This led to protests across Bogota and was a turning point when the City goverment accepted street art as a legitimate artistic expression. So it’s legal! Even Justin Bieber could graffiti on off-limit walls with a police escort. Local artists didn’t feel to get an equal treatment and took it as a sign to spray everywhere and overnight hundreds pieces crossed the walls. We found some very colourful murals, with political and social messages throughout the city. About indigenous people, sending hope and happiness or improving a neighbourhood.
