We got to set things strait. We showed a picture with our kids on an elephant. It seemed harmless and fun to climb on the back of this elephant just for a minute. As we learn also from your feedback, it’s not the way we want to see/show elephants, they should be walking free and even better in the wild. We did our homework and thats why we stayed at Sapana with it’s massive grazing land for their freed elephants. They buy elephants in need, old, sick or even pregnant from bad circumstances. From the lodge you can see the elephants are walking free and visitors just look at these beautiful animals at a respectful distance. There is still a lot of work to do in Asia and Chitwan to become elephant friendly and @sapanavillagelodge sets a very good example!
